As
opposed to the typical "bricks and mortar" post-production facility,
Nightingale Editorial offers on-location editing. Without having to
either lease or mortgage space for our equipment, we can offer quite
competitive rates, substantially less than the typical editing studio.
Clients
can edit in the comfort of their own offices. Just provide us with an
empty desk, conference room, or enough space for our own table. As
opposed to working "out of house", the client can be surrounded by
their own support personnel, and continue to do other work when their
attention is not needed immediately for the current project, such as
during digitizing, rendering, mixing down, or outputting.
For
additional savings in time, some clients prefer to just ship their
acquisition tapes and a script to us, and have a first draft cut
without them present. For a quick turnaround, the in-progress project
can be streamed to them over the Internet, or a hard copy (VHS or DVD)
can be shipped overnight. Then changes can be made remotely, or the
on-location edit can take place for final fixes and approvals.
In
addition to editing, Nightingale Editorial can provide the client with
DVD authoring, and media encoding for web download or streaming.
Flash, Quicktime, Windows Media, Real, MP4 and iPod video (M4V) are now
supported.
